Spring Flower Wedding Cake

Ice cakes with Fondant Icing and place wooden skewers.

Stack the cakes one on top of the other.

Fill gaps in between cakes with scraps of Fondant Icing.

Icing the Cake

Make up 3 batches Royal Icing, following directions in Pink Heart Wedding Cake. Tint the Royal Icing a very pale green with food colouring, adding only 1 drop at a time until you have the desired colour.

Spread sides and top of the cake with prepared icing. Carefully drag the back of a spatula from the base of the cake to the top to form grooves in the icing. Allow icing to set completely.

Flower Decoration

The Spring Flower Wedding Cake has an arrangement of fresh flowers placed on top.

You can make your own small bouquet or have a florist prepare one for you.

Have the flower arrangement ready and just before serving place it on top of the cake. Use a little of the Royal Icing to secure the bouquet to the top of the cake if necessary.
