Pink Roses Cupcakes

Cupcakes are all the rage and come in many shapes and sizes. Surprise your guests with these scrumptious, pretty little cakes that have a dark chocolate centre with a delicate creamy coating and white chocolate shards on the outside

We have given you the step by step instructions for making little hand made roses to decorate the cakes and you will be surprised how easy they are to make. They can be made weeks ahead and stored in an airtight container. Dust their petals with a blush of pink edible powder to finish their delicate look.

All the equipment you will need to make the roses is available from specialty icing shops.

To Make the Miniature Cakes

Make your own favourite mud cake recipe or simply purchase one of the many delicious varieties of packet mud cakes from the supermarket. One packet cake makes 1 x 20cm x 31cm oblong cake.

The recipe below makes 28 finished cakes

2 x 20cm x 31cm oblong cakes
2 quantities of Icing Crème
200g block dark chocolate, melted
2 x 375g packets compounded white chocolate
Silver cachous
Lengths of pink ribbon
Small square or round silver cover card boards
