Beef Bolognese Croustades

Crisp bread cases filled with macaroni and bolognese sauce and topped with cheese.

Beef Bolognese Croustades

ingredients

20 slices fresh sandwich bread
Cooking spray oil
2 teaspoons oil
400g lean beef mince
575g jar Leggo's Pasta Sauce - Bolognese
1 cup cooked macaroni
¼ cup grated tasty cheese

instructions

step 1

Remove crusts from bread and discard. Flatten bread slightly with a rolling pin. Spray one side with cooking oil and place oil side down into a 12 x ½ cup medium muffin pan, pressing lightly to form a cup.

step 2

In a medium saucepan, heat oil, add beef mince and cook until browned. Stir in Leggo's Pasta Sauce and cooked macaroni.  Simmer for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Allow to cool slightly.

step 3

Spoon filling into bread cases and sprinkle with grated cheese.  Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes or until golden.

As an alternate serving idea, spoon pasta sauce over toasted bread or English muffins.
