Hummus

A tasty dip served with bread, vegetables or crackers.

ingredients

1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
400g can Edgell Chick Peas, drained
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/3 cup low-fat natural yoghurt
½ teaspoon ground cumin
Toasted pita bread and vegetable sticks to serve

instructions

step 1

Place all ingredients into a food processor and blend until mixture is smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

step 2

Spoon hummus into serving dish and serve with toasted pita triangles and vegetable sticks.

For a colorful alternative, simply add 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves at step 2.

Serve as a dip or a tasty sandwich spread.
