Chocolate Pecan Brownies

Chocolate Pecan Brownies

ingredients

200g dark cooking chocolate, chopped
150g butter
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup plain flour
125g pecan nuts

instructions

step 1

Place chocolate and butter in a microwave safe bowl and melt in a microwave oven on 50% power for approximately 2 minutes, stirring halfway through melting time.

step 2

Add brown sugar and stir well. Stir in eggs, vanilla and plain flour, lastly stir in nuts. Pour into a greased and paper lined slice pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes. Cool in pan, cut into squares and dust with icing sugar.

Substitute pecan nuts with macadamia nuts or walnuts.
