Spicy Prawns

Shelled green prawns are cooked with a fragrant mixture of spices and Leggo's Tomato Paste.

ingredients

2 tablespoons oil
1 onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, crushed
3 tablespoons Leggo's Tomato Paste
1 teaspoon tamarind paste
1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon sambal oelek
2 stems lemon grass, bruised
500g shelled green prawns
1 teaspoon palm sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice

instructions

step 1

Heat oil in a pan, add onion and garlic and cook for 2 minutes.

step 2

Stir in Leggo's Tomato Paste, tamarind paste, ginger, sambal oelek, and lemon grass, cook for 1 minute.

step 3

Add prawns, palm sugar and lemon juice, cover pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until prawns change colour. Remove lemon grass. Serve Spicy Prawns with rice.
