Pasta Marinara

A traditional style Marinara made with John West Seafood Selection, tomatoes, fresh herbs and a hint of wine and garlic.

ingredients

375g spaghetti
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
3 spring onions, chopped
1-2 packs John West Chilled Seafood Selection
2 tablespoons white wine
400g can tomato pieces, undrained
2 tablespoons Leggo's Tomato Paste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

instructions

step 1

Cook spaghetti following packet directions, meanwhile make the sauce.

step 2

Heat oil in a frying pan, add garlic, spring onions and John West Seafood Selection. Cook for 2-3 minutes stirring occasionally.

step 3

Stir in white wine, undrained tomato pieces and Leggo's Tomato Paste; simmer for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add parsley and season with salt and pepper.

step 4

Drain cooked spaghetti and divide between 4 serving bowls.  Spoon over sauce and serve.
