Calzones are pizzas that have been folded in half to form a pocket before cooking.
| 1 quantity of pizza dough 300g can Edgell Tomato Supreme 1 small chicken breast, finely chopped and cooked ½ cup chopped salami 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 cup grated pizza cheese |
Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly. Cut dough into 6 equal portions and roll out into 12cm rounds.
Combine Edgell Tomato Supreme, cooked chicken, salami and oregano. Divide mixture evenly between the 6 rounds spooning over one half of the dough to within 1cm of the edge. Sprinkle with cheese.
Fold over pastry to enclose filling, pinch edges together and place on a baking paper lined oven tray. Brush tops with a little milk. Bake in a preheated oven at 210°C for 15 minutes.
100g lean beef mince can be substituted for the chicken.
