Sweet Spiced French Toast With Passionfruit

A super easy way to make French toast that will leave you with your guests instead of in the kitchen pan-frying!

ingredients

5 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon brown sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon mixed spice
10 x 2.5cm thick slices of sweet white bread
30g butter melted
170g can John West Passionfruit Pulp in Syrup
¼ cup maple syrup
Fresh seasonal fresh fruit for serving
Icing sugar for dusting

instructions

step 1

Whisk together, eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla extract and mixed spice in a large bowl.

step 2

Dip each slice of bread into egg mixture, soaking well and place in a single layer onto two buttered oven trays. Drizzle bread with melted butter and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes, turning bread halfway through cooking time.

step 3

Serve topped with fresh seasonal fruits and drizzle with combined John West Passionfruit and maple syrup. Dust with icing sugar.
