| Spray olive oil 500g beef mince ½ cup frozen Birds Eye Chopped Onions 1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed ½ red capsicum, de-seeded and diced 8 mushrooms, sliced 410g can Leggo's Tomato Puree ½ cup red wine ¼ cup Leggo's Tomato Paste 6 slices salami, finely sliced Cooked spaghetti for serving Freshly grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves for serving |
Spray a saucepan with oil and heat, add beef mince, frozen Birds Eye Chopped Onions and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes or until browned.
Add capsicum and mushrooms to pan and cook for 1-2 minutes. Stir in Leggo's Tomato Puree, red wine, Leggo's Tomato Paste and salami. Cover and simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Toss sauce and cooked spaghetti together. Garnish with basil leaves and serve with grated parmesan cheese.
Bolognese sauce is a great way to hide vegetables for kids. Add 1 cup diced mixed vegetables at step one.
