Crispy bread cases

Step 1

Take 12 slices of white bread and roll each piece lightly with a rolling pin. Trim away the crusts. Lightly brush with melted butter or oil and press slices into a greased patty pan tray.


Step 2

Place the tray into a preheated oven and bake at 200°C for 10 minutes or until bread is golden brown.


Step 3

The case can be filled with your favourite hot or cold fillings. For example John West Tuna or Salmon in white sauce or Edgell Creamed Corn. We have placed a spoonful of Leggo's Traditional Pesto, drained and chopped tomatoes, goat's cheese and fresh thyme garnish. Serve the filled bread cases with drinks or as a snack for the family.
