Oil processed from sesame seed. Sesame oil has a strong fragrant, nutty flavour and is used in small quantities in cooking. It is better added at the end of cooking and is mainly used for salads, dipping sauces and stir-fries. Because sesame oil “smokes” easily and burns at a low temperature it is not used for frying.
